Could an eye scan spot Alzheimer's before symptoms appear?
NCT ID NCT04389437
Summary
This study is testing if new, non-invasive eye imaging techniques can find unique signs in the retina linked to Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders. Researchers will compare detailed scans of the eye's blood vessels and structure in 450 people with memory complaints against those without. The goal is to see if these eye scans can serve as a potential early marker for different types of dementia.
