Eye scans may reveal hidden brain diseases
NCT ID NCT04389437
First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study uses two types of eye imaging (OCT-A and adaptive optics) to look for changes in the retina that might be linked to memory problems, including Alzheimer's and other dementias. Researchers will compare 450 people with and without memory complaints to see if these scans can help tell different brain diseases apart. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to detect these conditions earlier.
