NCT ID NCT07099222

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding two medications (dexamethasone and dexmedetomidine) to a standard nerve block can extend pain relief and reduce the need for opioid painkillers after shoulder, foot, or ankle surgery. About 100 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the two-drug combination or dexamethasone alone. The goal is to improve patient satisfaction by decreasing pain and side effects like nausea and dizziness.
