New gene hunt for young cancer patients when standard tests fail

Summary
This study looks for new genetic reasons why some people get cancer at a young age. About 5-10% of cancers are linked to inherited gene changes, but standard tests don't always find them. Researchers will use a more detailed genetic test called exome sequencing on 613 patients who developed cancer before age 40 (or 30 for breast cancer) and had no answers from standard testing. The goal is to discover new genes that raise cancer risk, which could help future families understand and manage their risk.
