NCT ID NCT07257900
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares video game-based exercise (using Nintendo Switch Ring Fit Adventure) to traditional supervised exercise for 30 young people aged 12–22 with pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis. Over 8 weeks, participants will do twice-weekly sessions aimed at improving balance, reducing fatigue, and boosting quality of life. Researchers will measure mobility and other outcomes to see if the game-based approach is as effective as standard exercise.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a fun, engaging way for young people with MS to improve their balance, reduce fatigue, and boost daily functioning.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 30 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The exercise games might not be as effective as traditional therapy.
