Can exercise together ease the burden of brain tumors?
NCT ID NCT07278440
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 17, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This pilot trial tests whether a supervised, group exercise program called Exercise Together is safe and feasible for people with primary brain tumors and their caregivers. The program uses resistance training to strengthen muscles used in daily activities and is designed to foster teamwork. Researchers will enroll 36 patient-caregiver pairs to see if they can stick with the program and if it improves their mental and physical health.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Resistance training (Exercise Together program)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could point toward a safe, effective way to improve daily functioning and reduce distress for brain tumor patients and their caregivers.
- What could go wrong
- This is a very small pilot study (36 people) testing feasibility first, not effectiveness. It may not show clear benefits or be too demanding for participants.
