First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests if doing wall squats (a type of isometric exercise) can lower blood pressure in people with hypertension. About 390 adults who do not exercise much will be randomly assigned to do wall squats or stretching exercises for 24 weeks. Their blood pressure will be tracked with a special monitor and smartwatches to see if wall squats work better than stretching.
