Short bursts of exercise may boost health in elderly
NCT ID NCT07335068
First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compares two exercise programs for older adults living in residential care: short, frequent 'exercise snacks' versus longer, structured sessions. About 75 people aged 65+ will be randomly assigned to one program for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure changes in physical fitness, thinking skills, chronic pain, mood, and quality of life to see if the snacking approach works as well or better.
