First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a personalized 4-week exercise program can improve quality of life and physical function in men with metastatic prostate cancer who are receiving radiation therapy. Eighty participants will either exercise or not, and researchers will track changes in well-being, inflammation, and survival. The goal is to see if adding exercise to standard care makes a real difference.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that adding exercise to radiation improves quality of life and physical function, and may even help men live longer.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (80 participants) without a placebo control. The exercise program is short (4 weeks), so benefits may be modest or not last. Results may not apply to all patients.
