First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study aims to improve exercise prescription in cardiac rehabilitation by using machine learning to analyze data from the autonomic nervous system. Researchers will enroll 90 patients with coronary artery disease or non-ischemic heart failure. They will measure nerve activity and other biomarkers to create a personalized exercise plan, potentially making rehab safer and more effective.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
personalized exercise prescription based on autonomic assessment
What this could lead to
If successful, this could lead to more effective and safer exercise plans for people in cardiac rehabilitation, improving heart health outcomes.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study focused on developing a method, not testing a treatment. The approach may not prove better than standard care or may be too complex for routine use.
