NCT ID NCT05418842

First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested whether a short exercise program before chemoradiotherapy helps head and neck cancer patients maintain physical function. 47 adults with head and neck cancer were randomly assigned to either an exercise prehabilitation group or usual care. The exercise group did supervised training for at least two weeks before starting cancer treatment. Researchers measured walking ability, muscle strength, quality of life, and treatment tolerance. The goal was to see if getting fit before treatment helps patients cope better with therapy.
