Scientists track movement and mood for clues to mental health

Summary

This study aims to understand the connection between physical activity, sleep, and mental health in people with and without mood disorders like bipolar disorder and depression. Over 1,200 participants, including patients and their healthy family members, will wear activity monitors and complete daily mood diaries for up to two years. The goal is to gather detailed information to see if changes in movement and exercise are linked to changes in mood.
