First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looks at how 12 weeks of either resistance or endurance exercise affects muscle mass in people with cirrhosis, a liver condition that often leads to muscle loss and ammonia buildup. About 40 adults with cirrhosis will be assigned to cycling, weight training, or standard care. Researchers will track changes in muscle size and fitness to understand the body's response to exercise.
