Online strength training tested to keep older cancer survivors moving
NCT ID NCT07606313
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether live, online group strength training can help older cancer survivors (age 65+) who have trouble with daily activities. 150 participants will be split into three groups: immediate strength training, delayed strength training, or stretching. The goal is to see if the program is practical and improves mobility and function over 16 weeks.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Functional resistance training (online group exercise)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could show that online exercise programs improve mobility and independence for older cancer survivors.
What could go wrong
This is an early feasibility study, not a large effectiveness trial. The results may not apply to all survivors, and the exercise program might be too demanding for some.
