Exercise may reduce arm swelling in breast cancer survivors

Summary

This study tests whether a 12-week program of aerobic and strength exercises can reduce lymphedema (arm swelling) in breast cancer survivors. About 58 women with stable lymphedema will either exercise or receive usual care. Researchers will measure arm fluid, strength, fitness, and quality of life to see if exercise helps manage symptoms.
