NCT ID NCT07513701
First seen Apr 12, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 3-month program of aerobic and resistance exercises can improve physical reserve in frail older adults, helping them maintain both physical and cognitive function. About 224 community-dwelling seniors who are physically frail but not severely cognitively impaired will be randomly assigned to the exercise program or usual care. The goal is to see if building physical reserve protects against declines in thinking and mobility.
