NCT ID NCT03923907
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether a structured exercise program, combined with usual care, could help normalize blood pressure patterns in 198 Chinese adults with hypertension who had a non-dipping blood pressure pattern (meaning their blood pressure doesn't drop enough during sleep). Participants were randomly assigned to either the exercise program plus usual care or usual care alone. The exercise program used motivational techniques and mobile apps to encourage regular physical activity. The main goal was to see if exercise could improve nighttime blood pressure dipping and overall blood pressure control.
