First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This pilot study tests whether a physical therapy program—including gentle exercise, strength training, and relaxation—plus education about physical activity can improve quality of life and health in adults hospitalized for major depression. About 50 participants will receive the program twice a week alongside their usual medical and psychological care. The goal is to see if this approach is helpful and well-received by patients and staff.
