Summary

This study aimed to see if combining weight loss with exercise is better than exercise alone for improving fitness in obese older adults. Researchers tested 180 sedentary, obese seniors by having them follow a walking program along with different diet plans for five months. The goal was to find the best way to boost their stamina and aerobic capacity to help prevent disability and maintain independence.
