Three-Pronged attack on diabetes in the elderly
NCT ID NCT03560375
Summary
This study tested three different approaches to help older adults with type 2 diabetes improve their health: a specific exercise routine, a plant-based Mediterranean diet, and a diabetes medication. One hundred inactive participants aged 65 and over were assigned to one of these treatments for 10 weeks, with some adding exercise later. The goal was to see which method best improved body composition, blood sugar control, and physical strength.
