Strength training in special sleeves: a new hope for reducing Post-Cancer swelling?

NCT ID NCT02992782

Summary

This study tested a 12-week program combining strength training exercises with wearing advanced compression sleeves to see if it could reduce arm swelling (lymphedema) in breast cancer survivors. The goal was to find out if participants could comfortably wear the sleeves while exercising and if the combined approach helped decrease swelling, improve arm function, and quality of life. The small pilot study enrolled 24 women from Edmonton, Alberta, who had chronic, mild-to-moderate arm lymphedema.
