NCT ID NCT06757712

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study compares two 12-week resistance training programs—nonlinear and linear periodization—to see which better improves quality of life in women with hypothyroidism. 75 women aged 35-45 with controlled hypothyroidism will participate. The goal is to find an exercise approach that helps with both physical and mental well-being.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

exercise program (nonlinear or linear periodized resistance training)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could show that a specific type of exercise program improves quality of life and thyroid-related health markers in women with hypothyroidism.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage study with only 75 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. It tests exercise, not a new drug, so any benefits are likely modest.
