NCT ID NCT07327593
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how a single session of cardiovascular exercise affects pain sensitivity in people who have had a stroke and in healthy individuals. Researchers will measure pain thresholds before and after exercise in 60 participants. The goal is to understand why exercise can temporarily reduce pain and whether this effect is different after a stroke, which could lead to better pain management strategies.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help design exercise programs to prevent or reduce chronic pain after stroke.
