First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study looked at how different types of exercise affect fitness and blood vessel health in people who have had a stroke. 59 adults who had a stroke 6 months to 15 years ago took part. They used a seated stepper that moves arms and legs to compare high-intensity interval training with moderate exercise. The goal was to see which exercise method works best to improve oxygen use and blood flow to the brain.
