NCT ID NCT07153874
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a 12-week home exercise program, including aerobic and strength exercises with remote supervision, can improve quality of life and physical function in people who have had heart valve or bypass surgery. 76 participants are split into an exercise group and a control group. Researchers measure changes in daily activities, quality of life, and exercise tolerance at the start, middle, and end of the program.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
physical exercise program (aerobic and anaerobic exercises at home with remote supervision)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a simple, home-based exercise plan to help people recover better after heart surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 76 participants. The results may not apply to everyone, and the program may not improve outcomes more than standard care.
