NCT ID NCT05610800

Summary

This study tested whether adding a medication called exenatide, which is used for diabetes, to standard nicotine patches could help people quit smoking more effectively. It also aimed to see if the medication could prevent the weight gain that often happens after quitting. The trial involved 140 adults who were motivated to quit smoking and were at risk for weight gain or had slightly elevated blood sugar.
