First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Aug 06, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This phase 3 study tests a new injection called Eveotox, made from a lab-grown version of botulinum toxin, against Botox and a placebo for moderate to severe frown lines. About 669 adults aged 18 to 65 will receive one or more treatments. Researchers will check how well it smooths wrinkles and monitor for side effects.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- recombinant botulinum toxin type A (Eveotox)
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a new, effective option for temporarily reducing frown lines between the eyebrows.
- What could go wrong
- This is a cosmetic treatment, not a cure. Results are temporary, and side effects like bruising or drooping eyelids are possible. It may not work as well as Botox.
