Zapping tumors from inside: new hope for pancreatic cancer?
NCT ID NCT05723107
First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether adding a heat-based treatment (radiofrequency ablation) delivered via an endoscope to standard chemotherapy is safe for people with advanced pancreatic cancer that hasn't spread to other organs. About 15 participants who have not responded to first-line chemo will receive up to three ablation sessions alongside their ongoing treatment. The main goal is to check for severe side effects, not to cure the disease.
