Summary
This study tests new plastic tubes (cannulas) used to connect patients to a heart-lung machine during heart surgery. The trial has two parts: first, a small safety check, then a larger comparison with existing tubes. About 80 adults having planned heart surgery will take part to see if the new tubes are as safe and work as well as current ones.
