New registry tracks hidden heart vessel disease
NCT ID NCT05805462
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This registry follows over 670 people with chest pain and non-blocked arteries to study how well tiny heart vessels (microcirculation) work. Participants complete questionnaires about their symptoms and are tracked for up to 5 years for heart events like heart attacks or strokes. The goal is to learn if measuring microvascular resistance can predict future problems.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could help doctors better identify and manage coronary microvascular disease, potentially reducing heart-related events.
- What could go wrong
- This is an observational registry, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly test a new therapy. Results may not apply to all patients.
