First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether a combination of two drugs (etoricoxib and betamethasone) works better than etoricoxib alone for reducing pain in people with sudden joint inflammation (bursitis, tendinitis, or synovitis) in the shoulder, elbow, knee, or ankle. About 89 adults took part, and researchers measured pain during movement over 14 days. The goal was to see if the combo offers faster or greater pain relief.
