Can a tablet Eye-Tracker replace the Neurologist's exam for MS?
NCT ID NCT06256731
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tested whether a tablet-based eye-tracking device (ETNA-MS) can accurately estimate disability levels in people with Multiple Sclerosis. Sixty adults with MS took eye-tracking tests, and the device's estimates were compared to standard neurologist assessments. The goal is to see if this simple, quick test can reliably monitor disease progression.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Eye-tracking device (ETNA-MS)
What this could lead to
If successful, this device could offer a quick, objective way to monitor MS disability without needing a full in-person neurologist exam.
What could go wrong
This is a small, completed validation study with 60 people. The device may not be accurate enough for all patients or settings, and it only estimates disability, not treat it.
