First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether injecting etanercept directly into inflamed joints (knee, wrist, ankle, elbow) can safely ease pain in people with rheumatoid arthritis. 34 adults with at least 6 months of RA and a painful flare lasting 2 weeks or more took part. The goal was to compare etanercept to standard steroid injections for short-term symptom relief.
