First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study looked at how gender-affirming estrogen treatment changes the way the body processes other medications. Researchers gave 22 transgender adults a common sedative and a heart drug before and after starting estrogen therapy to measure differences. The goal was to understand if estrogen alters drug metabolism and transport, which could affect dosing for other medicines.
