Estrogen patch may ease prostate cancer treatment side effects

Summary

This study tests whether adding estrogen to standard hormone therapy can improve quality of life for men with prostate cancer that has spread. Standard treatment often causes hot flashes, fatigue, and bone problems by lowering estrogen. The trial will compare hot flash scores and overall well-being in 60 men over 12 weeks.
