NCT ID NCT07419594

First seen Mar 19, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking estradiol (a form of estrogen) can help reduce the number of intrusive, unwanted memories after a traumatic event. Healthy female volunteers will watch a stressful film and then take either estradiol or a placebo. Researchers will track how many intrusive memories they have over the next four days to see if the hormone makes a difference.
