First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looks at whether inhaling essential oils can help healthy adults feel less stressed and more relaxed. About 200 people will take part, and they will either smell a real essential oil or a placebo during a stressful task and a relaxation session. The researchers will measure heart rate and stress levels to see if the oils make a difference.
