First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a 12-week exercise program for esports players to prevent common health problems like muscle pain, poor diet, and stress. Thirty amateur or professional players will be split into two groups: one does the exercise program during gaming breaks, the other continues normal training. Researchers will measure changes in core endurance, pain, and overall health after 12 weeks.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward a simple exercise routine that helps esports players avoid common health problems like back pain and eye strain.
What could go wrong
This is a very small early study with only 30 people, so results may not apply to all gamers. The exercise program is short and may not show big changes.
