First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using different amounts of numbing medicine in a back muscle injection (erector spinae plane block) can reduce pain and the need for morphine after a total abdominal hysterectomy. 80 women having this surgery took part. The goal was to find the best volume to improve pain scores and lower opioid use in the first 24 hours after surgery.
