Nerve block showdown: which method eases pain best after chest surgery?
NCT ID NCT06558331
Summary
This study compared two different nerve block techniques used to control pain after minimally invasive chest surgery (VATS). Researchers wanted to see which method—an ESP block or a paravertebral block—led to better overall recovery and less pain in the first 24 hours after surgery. The study involved 60 adult patients and measured their recovery quality and pain levels using standard questionnaires.
