Escape room training boosts nursing skills?
NCT ID NCT07560228
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether playing an educational escape room game helps nursing students learn how to care for patients with urinary and bowel issues. Sixty second-year nursing students will either play the game or learn through traditional methods. Researchers will measure their knowledge, practical skills, motivation, and satisfaction to see if the game makes a difference.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Educational escape room game
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that gamified learning improves nursing students' practical skills and motivation, potentially leading to better patient care.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 60 students, so results may not apply broadly. The game is a teaching tool, not a medical treatment, so it won't directly cure or prevent disease.
