NCT ID NCT02972008

First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study is looking for DNA markers that might predict the risk of silent strokes in older adults having a minimally invasive heart valve replacement called TAVR. Researchers will measure DNA methylation in blood samples before and after the procedure and compare it to brain scans. The goal is to find new ways to identify patients at higher risk for brain injury.
