Hormone boost may help scanners spot hidden prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT07025369

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking a short course of hormone therapy (relugolix) before a PSMA PET/CT scan can make the scan better at finding prostate cancer that has spread to lymph nodes. About 30 men with high-risk prostate cancer will receive the hormone drug for 5, 10, or 15 days before their scan. The goal is to see if the drug increases a protein on cancer cells, making them easier to detect.
