New drug could help kids with genetic high cholesterol

Summary
This study tests a new medicine called enlicitide decanoate in children and teens with a genetic condition that causes very high cholesterol (heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia). The goal is to see if the drug is safe, tolerable, and lowers bad cholesterol more than a placebo. About 153 participants will receive either the drug or a placebo, and researchers will monitor cholesterol levels and side effects over time.
