Genetic clues could lead to earlier prostate cancer detection
NCT ID NCT07265414
Summary
This study is testing a new, more targeted screening approach for men who have a higher genetic risk of developing aggressive prostate cancer. Researchers will follow 320 men with specific inherited gene mutations to see if combining a blood test (PHI) and a specialized MRI scan can find dangerous cancers earlier than current standard tests. The goal is to identify cancers when they are most treatable, potentially increasing cure rates for high-risk individuals.
