Summary

This study looks at 518 adults with a severe stroke caused by a blockage in the main artery at the back of the brain. It compares two standard treatments: a procedure to remove the clot (endovascular therapy) versus medication alone. The goal is to see which approach leads to better recovery and survival after 90 days and one year.
