NCT ID NCT05711758
First seen Mar 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study is testing a new, less invasive procedure called PSAM that aims to help people with obesity lose weight by slowing down how fast the stomach empties. The procedure uses an endoscope (a thin tube passed through the mouth) to make cuts in the stomach muscle, without removing any part of the stomach. The study will include 30 adults aged 18-70 with a BMI over 35 to see if the procedure is safe, tolerable, and effective for weight loss.
