First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at 78 women to understand why endometriosis causes long-term pelvic pain. Researchers examined hormones, immune system chemicals, and genes to find better ways to treat the pain. Participants included women with endometriosis, women with pelvic pain but no endometriosis, and healthy volunteers. The goal was to learn more about the pain rather than test a new treatment.
