Scientists probe hidden link between body inflammation and uterine cancer

NCT ID NCT05407025

Summary

This Mayo Clinic study aims to understand if long-term inflammation in the body increases a woman's risk of developing endometrial (uterine) cancer. Researchers are collecting blood, urine, and tissue samples from 191 women who are having a hysterectomy, either for cancer or for non-cancerous reasons. By comparing these samples, they hope to learn how inflammation markers differ and build a model to help assess future cancer risk.
