Summary
This study aims to create and test a safety checklist for hospitals to prevent and quickly treat sepsis (a severe infection) in women during and after childbirth. Sepsis is a leading cause of death for new mothers in the U.S. The researchers will look at medical records of over 33,000 women to see if the new safety plan reduces the number of sepsis cases.
